Rumriver Art Center is excited to announce the first gallery show of 2024 in the Jan Johansen Gallery is our call for entry
Art of the Word
The show’s opening will take place in the Jan Johansen Gallery at Rumriver Art Center (2665 4th Ave, Suite 103A) on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2-4PM.
Art of the Word is Rumriver Art Center’s Winter Call for Entry. A call for entry is where regional artists enter their artwork based on or inspired by the theme of having a word, many words or the art piece being created out of all words. We had 64 regional artists enter 93 pieces of artwork. Our judge chose 57 pieces of artwork to showcase a variety of mediums and ideas around the theme of the show. All are welcome to stop by and view Art of the Word and see all the wordy artwork that is on display. These artists were very creative, and we have a wide variety of mediums including acrylic, watercolor, found objects, glass mosaic, ceramics, fiber, pen and ink, pencil, digital and more. This will be a fun show to bring the whole family to see. Stop by Rumriver Art Center this January and check out this fun show and see what other creative things are happening at Rumriver Art Center.
This show will be on display through Friday, February 2nd, 2024.
Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday from 10-3 and Saturday, January 6 from 2-4, January 13 from 10-2 and January 20 from 10-3.
